About Me
Professional Bio
With a lifelong commitment to movement and rehabilitation, I bring extensive experience in yoga, Pilates, and specialist therapeutic practices. After using these disciplines to overcome significant health challenges early in life, I developed a deep understanding of their transformative impact on mobility, posture, and long‑term wellbeing. My continued practice, supported by expert mentorship, has enabled me to manage complex musculoskeletal issues and maintain a high level of physical function.
I am a qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher, course tutor, assessor, foundation course tutor and diploma course tutor, plus being a specialist advisor in cancer and stroke. My background includes Pilates Of which I am also a tutor, assessor and teacher trainer, with many CIMPSA Level 4 certifications, with expertise spanning nutrition, antenatal and postnatal, with a large area of rehabilitation qualifications and experience, such as FaME falls prevention, with therapy areas such as sports and remedial massage, reiki and additional rehabilitative modalities. I also hold Level 4 qualifications in exercise after stroke and cancer rehabilitation, and I have volunteered in NHS cancer rehabilitation since 2007.
In 2005, I founded MBS, developing it from a one‑person practice into a dedicated studio known for personalised, evidence‑informed instruction. I teach Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga, and Pilates across all levels, and provide one‑to‑one, small‑group, and private sessions focused on mobility, rehabilitation, fitness, and lifestyle guidance. My work also includes therapies and tailored rehabilitation programmes.
I collaborate closely with charities, the NHS, general practitioners, and local authorities, running many services such as cancer rehabilitation classes supported by community fundraising and Little Fox’s Charity. Past initiatives have been funded by organisations such as The Big Lottery for exercise after stroke, also supporting individuals with other medical conditions.
