The Antenatal class is every Thursday at 6pm you can arrive from 5.45pm before the class begins. Please note you will NOT need a stability ball at this time, we now require you to bring a mat and blanket instead until guidelines change.
You are required to book this class up to one week in advance via the website scrolling down the about page to select the BOOK tab. Alternatively you can block book a group of 4 classes or 6 classes, which means you are committing to attending the 4 or 6 classes.... if you miss any classes theses are none refundable, due to the deal you are receiving .
Class weekly is £6
Block booking is currently on Hold until we are sure, local Lockdowns have stopped in the UK.

Antenatal classes combine yoga and Pilates, all together work in the preparation for birth. Pilates improves spinal and pelvic stability conditioning of the pelvic floor, including posture awareness, joint stability and supportive muscles. Pilates will help you maintain muscle strength and flexibility, helping in the prevention of lower back and pelvic pain. Yoga will help in the calming of the mind, body and breath uniting you and your baby as one, with gentle asana practices, meditation, relaxation and pranayama breathing techniques, helping improve balance awareness.
We run the classes as Yoga with the third Thursday in the month a physio pilates session plus a birthing workshop also..
Postnatal courses are for six week, you and your baby together working through yoga and Pilates, baby massage, baby yoga and calming techniques. Pilates for you – Stabilization of joints, correction of posture after birth. Strengthening weakened abdominal and pelvic muscles. Diastasis recovery the separation of the abdominal muscles. Yoga for you – relieves stress and strains on the mind and body. Internal care and cleansing through pranayama and bandha, gentle asana practice for you both. Breathing practices to calm baby, digestive techniques to help relieve baby.
Private 1-2-1 – Located within the studio or your home covering – Preparation for birth – For fitness – for recovery after birth – A tailor made program for you both, covering nutrition, mobility, fitness, breathing, mediation, and so much more.

Studio re-opening class timetable of phased return of classes with online live zoom.
classes will start with a phased return with low numbers of a maximum of 10 per class you will be required to bring your own mat and any equipment you may wish to use and ready for your class, socks are required for walking around the studio, I'm making sure everyone is safe and catered for, Please Note if you are unwell, with flu like symptoms, cold, cough or fever please stay home.
Posters, instructions, markings, etc will all be in place for your safety and protection, optional if you wish to wear your own mask, I personally will be wearing a face shield so you can hear me clearly or for those hard of hearing lip reading
The times have slightly changed to have the required 30 mins between classes for cleaning and sanitising. There will be markers for your mat placement too to work within the Gov Guidelines. We have our own allocated W.C with cleaning spray plus Wipes. Please see below the posters which are located within and around the studio for your safety.
Online live zoom will be at the same time from the studio, for those at home an unlimited zoom number of spaces available.

You are partaking in a free online class taster in doing so you are confirming you are fit and healthy to partaking is any activity and any class you chose to do, this is at your own risk, MBS and its teachers accept no liability, for your actions to partake in any physical activity for free using this service.

Cancer rehabilitation -:
Working on the range of movement within the girdle joints, helping with lymphedema issues relating to surgery and treatment.
Chair mobility and strength -:
Working on the range of movement within joints, Helping to increase bone density, helping to increase muscle strength.
Chair Yoga -:
Working on the Sun Salutation through chair yoga, this practices helps us stretch the spine, shoulders, and more through a flowing sequence.
Pilates Beginners -:
Working on the range of movement within the skeletal system, building strength and flexibility improving the alignment and posture of the body.
Hatha Yoga -:
Working on the posture and alignment of the body, muscle strength and flexibility using static postures and flowing sequences.
GP Referral In Barnsley Sadly was cancelled a few years ago, due to Council Cost cutting.
Your GP can still refer you but you would be required to pay like everyone else, no longer under the FREE sessions.
MBS Helped so many patients in the GP scheme, resulting in two spinal surgeries not longer being required. Patients with new knees and hips gaining back the independence quickly and safely.
If you feel you need help with mobility and Rehab through Pilates, Yoga, we can help. for Cancer rehab (which is still running you can be referred by your GP for this, just ask for a referral form from us) or other NHS nurse from the cancer department in Barnsley they will refer you. for any other information please contact Michelle Griffiths our specialist on ring on 07789037427.

You can become a member which means you get the classes cheaper,

Based over 49 weeks of the year. Members are not effected by the booking system. These are fixed classes.
As classes are £6.00 and very busy, we have a policy in place.
Once booked and paid, onto your first class via the website, once in the studio you are required to book and pay for the week after in the studio at reception, Michelle is there from 6.45pm to 8.15pm, Instructors can take your bookings from 5.50pm in the studio. Then your place is secure for the week after. If you miss your class or cancel after the deadline for moving payment to the week after. You will be required to go back onto the website and rebook a space, if a space is available . Sorry we no longer save spaces due to students taking advantage of this leaving empty mats while people wait for spaces. Therefore to help everyone and to be fair this new system will be in place.

A new Booking system is available Its quick and easy, on our website www.mind-bodyandspirit.com scroll down the first page and hit 'BOOK' tab to find your favourite class or teacher .
Booking and paying for your class secures your mat space at the studio and couldn't be easier.
All students who attend weekly, already know we book one week in advance, but if they miss the class they can now also book on the website for the week after, its so simple.
You can still book at the studio reception in the evenings, if you don't wish to book online - Monday to Thursday evenings 5.30pm to 9pm.

The same deadlines for moving payments once booked still applies, if you book online you can contact us via any method above if within the deadline we will move your payment to the week after on the same class. Class payment none refundable.
Therefore no one loses out on their favourite class or teacher.
Sorry we no longer reserve mats, as in the past we have noticed people sadly don't always show up, leaving the mat empty which someone else could have booked and enjoyed.

No data is sold to marketing companies or other, or accessible outside the studio. Any information supplied can be seen by the said student at any time as requested.
MBS is a small company with a big heart, we put our students and teachers first and their privacy and information supplied is very important to us. The only sharing we do are to celebrate our class , courses, workshops, retreats etc, with photos on posters within the studio and on our FB page or our teachers FB page only... If you do not want to be apart of any photo to be used in this way, please say to Michelle or the teacher if phots are taken within said class - at the end of the class, any image of said student will be deleted.

If you have answered yes to one or more questions – on your medical questionnaire
Remember signing this sheet confirms your GP has approved you partaking in a class at mind body & spirit & agreed you are okay to becoming more physically active, or starting a program to lose weight. Tell your doctor about the questionnaire & which question you answered yes to. You may be able to do any activity you want – as long as you build up slowly and gradually. Or you may need to restrict you activities to those that are safe for you. Talk with your doctor about the kinds of activity you wish to participate in and follow his/her advice, remember always chose the options in classes at MBS, which are right for you, you are responsible for yourself…..
If you have answered no to all questions –
You can be reasonably sure that you can start to become more physically active and take part in suitable exercise program. Remember to begin slowly and build up gradually. As above
Please note – If your health changes please inform your instructor. Or if you feel unwell because of a temporary illness such as cold or flu, Delay and wait until you feel better.
You are responsible for your health and well-being, always work to your level, building slowly, the instructor is not a GP and therefore not responsible if you injure yourself by pushing yourself to hard.
Your instructor maybe required to adjust you, please let him or her know if you do not want to be touched.
If you cannot attend your class, text the studio number to inform us, so the class may start on time without waiting for you, as you have booked and secured your space on this class. Please remember to read the Terms of being a Student at MBS, and the deadline of moving payments, see posters around the studio near reception.
By Signing your questionnaire you also confirm you are happy if any photographs are taken, for use on promotions, such as social media, posters etc. If you disagree please let the Michelle or the teacher Know at the time of taking any photos….so these can be deleted.
